Awards & Scholarships

The Women of Law Enforcement remains committed to honoring heroic efforts, recognizing outstanding community service, and giving back to the law enforcement community through scholarship opportunities. 

To nominate an individual for an award or scholarship, follow the link to the forms below. 

RISE Award

The RISE Award recognizes an officer who displays exceptional bravery, heroism, and self-sacrifice by going above and beyond the call of duty in the saving of lives. This is done without regard for her personal safety under life-threatening circumstances.

Ina Mae "Tiny" Miller Award

In August 1955 Ina Mae "Tiny" Miller became one of the original six, fully commissioned police officers hired by the Oklahoma City Police Department. Miller passed away in 2010. The award recognizes community service or philanthropic work from an individual in law enforcement. The award was established by the daughter and grandchildren of Ina Mae "Tiny" Miller to keep her legacy alive and support women in law enforcement.

Patt Scheckel-Hollingsworth RISE Scholarship

WoLE is giving back to women in our law enforcement communities by offering scholarships for the annual WoLE Conference as well as other training opportunities hosted or sponsored by WoLE throughout the year. The scholarships are intended to assist all female law enforcement employees, both sworn and professional staff, who seek valuable training opportunities but lack financial resources to attend.
